Redesigns in the air

I notice that /. (Slashdot) are having a CSS redesign contest … winner gets a new laptop. Any Irish tech-bloggers giving it a lash? I couldn’t be arsed, I have neither the time nor energy (nor skills truth be told) to attempt such a thing. Anyway it looks like I’m holding on to my current [...]

Domain name conundrum

Tech & mobile news

Two quick tech stories … Via Slashdot, Michael Thomas, owner of Colossal Storage, says he’s the first person to solve non-contact optical spintronics (huh?) which should ultimately result in the creation of super capacity hard drives of approx. 1.2 petabytes, which is … I dunno … like a brazilian times bigger than anything available now. [...]

Around the blogosphere

A little bored this evening so I took a trip around the blogosphere to see what’s happening and came across a few blogs worth bookmarking… The first is Manuel Stimulation, a blog from a Spanish dude living in Ireland. IE7 Beta2 Preview

The Beta 2 Preview of IE7 has been released to the XP SP2-using public. I think the only people actually waiting for this were the self-pleasuring nerds who hang around the MS forums and would cut your throat if you dared diss their favourite browser. Still, I donned my geek cap for a short while [...]

Mini browser news

Well Opera have now officially launched the scaled for mobile version of their browser (2 days [...]
