Well, as you know, and i’ve reminded you here, GAA congress were meeting today, the main issue under discussion was of course Rule 42. The members voted 165 to 153 in favour of holding a secret ballot which I would have thought was a bad idea. Anyway the motion was passed 227 to 93, rule 42 will be relaxed on a temporary basis to allow the Irish soccer and rugby teams to compete there while Landsdowne is being redeveloped. Fair dues to the GAA I say for bailing out two professional sports who got them selves in a spot of bother.
