Time to brush up on your Italian! Looks like Trapattoni is set to take over the ROI manager’s job once his once his contract with Salzburg is up at the end of the season!! Benvenuto Trapattoni!

I for one am quite happy to see him take over the Ireland job; just look at his honours ffs:

    Sorry for delay, Maca…
    Well I did hear this news on the radio some days ago and yesterday night I saw the news on TV as well. Trapattoni is famous for his temper and for his ability to learn foreign languages, even if he learns them his way :-)
    We still remember when he coached a German team and during an interview with the German tv he did a long and infuriated speech in a very funny German :-)
    I’m waiting to hear him speaking in English!!!

    The reason of my delay in answering this post is that I was looking for the most proper translation for that idiom you wrote in the bottom line of your post. Being it an Irish idiom I don’t think there’s a direct translation in Italian, but the closest thing I found is “Forza, ragazzo!” or “Forza, figliolo!”.
    But I have to make you my most sincere compliments for how you wrote in perfect Italian the last sentence, very good, Maca, very good!!!

    Thanks also for the translation, I’ll definitely use it; you’ll probably even see it here in future when we win our first game under Trapattoni :)

    I’ve heard about his temper and the German ‘speech’; I’ll have to check youtube later to see if it’s there.
