04/01/2004: "Irish quote"
Found an interesting quote from an Irish language activist:
"Remember, the Irish tongue and the generous and tender hearted Gaelic sensibility inherent in it, have come down to us from great antiquity and it would be a depredation beyond all bearing, were that guileless soul and that gentle and civilized tongue to be lost to us and to our descendants forever."
-An Dochtúir Risteard de hIndeberg (Richard Henebry - Irish Language Activist, Musician & Author)
More info on the great Doctor can be found from the Dungarvan Museum website.
