04/07/2004: "US won't send troops into Pakistan"

You'd wonder, despite all their talk about wiping out the Taliban and Al Queda, why the US won't send troops to support the Pakistani Army.
They said they'd "deal with terrorists hiding in the region if Pakistan fails to act".
Well Pakistan is acting, all credit to them, but I am sure a little help wouldn't go astray. And surely the US would be itching to dive right in to action especially where there is approx. 500 enemy soldiers there. Go figure.
