04/07/2004: "Lindows or Windows..."

It appears that software company Lindows Inc will change the international name of their Lindows web presence and products.
The question I have is why you would want to use the name Lindows anyway as it just sounds like a pi-take of Windows?

"Internet Exploder" - MS Web Browser
"Nutscrape" - Netscape Web Browser

IE is currently one of the worst web browsers on the market as it offers the poorest support for web standards of all the latest version browsers. Hense the term...

In the battle between good vs evil, or in this case evil vs evil we had to diverging standards of web browser. IE vs Netscape. Netscape 4x browsers are simply awful beasts and unfortunatly some web designers still try to support them.

Any more pi*-takes?
