Well the web has been on the go for quite a while now, and Tim Berners-Lee has long since been given recognition for inventing "the first server, browser, and protocols central to the operation of the web" while at CERN but now wee Tim is the proud recipient of the first Millennium Technology Prize. Fair f**ks Tim!

Created anseo in Finland the Millennium Technology Prize, known to friends as MilTek, aims to recognise international achievements in technology. It's awarded every second year so unfortunatly i'll have to wait 'til 2006 that I get my 1 million squid.
