04/29/2004: "Neanderthals bite the bullet"

Interesting story about studies done on several hundred fossil front teeth from early humans, Neanderthals and modern humans. Apparantly neanderthals were on a "completely divergent evolutionary path" from uz humans. They were actually a different species altogether, according to the findings of this study.
Please, no jokes about homosapiens and the reasons for their extinction...
