06/20/2004: "EU hard won constitution deal"

Finally they have done it...after serious negotiations the 25 European countries have finally been able to compromise and reach a deal on the EU's first constitution. The next task for Governments is the ratifying of the text. They also need to appoint a new Commissioner as Mr Prodi steps down in October.
