06/20/2004: "£50m for England's Rooney?"

I'm trying to avoid Euro 2004 postings but this caught my attention. Wayne Rooney, Englands young player is estimated to be worth up to GB£50 million following his performance in the championship so far!
Players salaries have long been way out of control but this is really ridiculous. I mean, he's no George Best.
