06/28/2004: "Sovereign Iraq"
The interim government in Iraq has been handed sovereignty 2 days ahead of schedule. "a historic and happy day for us in Iraq" according to President Sheikh Ghazi al-Yawar. In reality it will mean "sfa" for ordinary Iraqis as the body count continues to rise.
Less than an hour later Paul Bremer, the former Administrator was on a helicopter starting his trip out of the country. I bet Bush was wondering how many people he could get on that helicopter.
