07/27/2004: "West Nile virus in Ireland"

Two cases of the West Nile virus are in Ireland, in both cases the infected had recently visited the Algarve in Portugal.
People visiting Europe are advised to "take measures to avoid being bitten by infected mosquitoes". That should be easy because by EU law all infected mosquitoes must wear a badge with "WNV Carrier" in bold letters.
