07/28/2004: "French Jews seek new life in Israel"

I didn't realize the situation was this bad in France, two hundred French Jews are leaving France today to start a new life in Israel.

Apparantly 2000 French jews leave for Israel every year, some for religious reasons and to find work but many for fear of sectarian attack. Religious reasons I can understand, but Israel is hardly the best place to go for work or even to escape attack. Out of the frying pan and into the 'ASh'.
