04/05/2005: "Longford Town 2 - 1 Linfield"

Longford Town finally got some points in the Setanta Cup. After losing their first game 2-1 to Glentoran two weeks ago, tonight they overcame Linfield thanks to two first half goals to give them invaluable points in this inaugural year of the Setanta Cup. The Town's next game is at home against Glentoran on the 25th of April followed by a visit to Linfield on the 10th of May which will complete their Group 1 games.
