04/13/2005: "Google maps"

I've been playing around with Google maps, what a bloody great application, fantastic altogether (cept that it's just for the US, although you can get some satellite pics of the rest of the world). I'll post some pics below (a little later, no FTP access here) to show what it can do. Searching city routes is excellent as you can easily switch between map view and satellite view, and in satellite view, over for cities for example, you can zoom in quite well. Some people are already having fun with it, here's a view from the ground when someone goes a route check.
